Welcome to the website of “Friendliest Club in Rotary!". People often ask “what is Rotary?". Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers that see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
While Rotary is an international organization, each Rotary club is an independent club that charts it own course within the Rotary frame work. Since we are a smaller club our primary focus is the local community, specifically in supporting non-profit organizations providing services to families in need. We also partner with other clubs within the local area to support at least one international project each year.
The Rotary Club of South Sacramento was founded in 1959. Over the past 65 years our members have included folks of all ages and from all professions and walks of life including community and civic leaders, successful business people, educators, and nonprofit managers. We are always ready to welcome a new member to our team, if you are interested stop by one of our Thursday lunch meetings or our social gatherings listed on the calendar on this website. We feature some great speakers with just a sprinkle of club business. You can also use the “New Member Inquiry” at the top of the home page if you would like to be contacted to learn more about our club.
